This Privacy Policy describes how InterviewReady AI ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information to provide our services:
- Account information — email address and password when you register
- Resume / CV data — the PDF you upload and the structured profile extracted from it
- Interview data — your voice recordings during practice interviews, transcripts of your answers, and assessment scores
- Usage data — interview sessions, job titles, company names you enter, and performance history
2. How We Use Your Information
- To generate personalised interview questions based on your resume and target role
- To transcribe your voice answers and evaluate your performance
- To provide detailed coaching reports and improvement recommendations
- To maintain your interview history so you can track progress over time
- To operate and improve the app
3. Voice and Audio Data
InterviewReady AI records your voice during practice interview sessions. Audio recordings are:
- Sent securely to our backend servers for transcription using OpenAI Whisper
- Not stored permanently — audio files are deleted after transcription
- Never used for training AI models or shared with third parties for advertising
We only access the microphone when you actively hold the record button during an interview session.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the app:
- Supabase — secure database and authentication (supabase.com)
- Anthropic Claude API — AI-powered question generation and assessment (anthropic.com)
- OpenAI Whisper API — voice-to-text transcription (openai.com)
- Railway — backend server hosting (railway.app)
Each service has its own privacy policy. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
5. Data Storage and Security
- Your data is stored securely using Supabase with row-level security — only you can access your own data
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS encrypted connections
- Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text
- We do not share, sell, or rent your personal information to third parties
6. Data Retention
We retain your account and interview data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the email below. We will delete your data within 30 days of your request.
7. Children's Privacy
InterviewReady AI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account
